Are you giving them kitten food or regular adult food? When you leave food out and allow them to graze, it is hard to tell if one is eating it all or if one is getting short-changed. As they're still young, the best thing is to increase Clark's exercise. Often cats loose that extra energy from hormones when they're spayed/neutered so tend to gain weight if the activity level isn't increased or the food intake reduced.
