Hi There,

I think this article is stretching it a bit. Fountains are good if they help a cat to drink more, but they are far from necessary. The important thing is to always have fresh water available to your cat, and it's good to feed some canned food as well for the moisture content. Cats will always be prone to kidney failure regardless.

I will be moving soon and I'm thinking of getting a fountain or two, because I have 2 blind cats and I think it will help them to learn their way around the new house. Plus I have a cat that likes to play with water and I think she will enjoy a fountain.

Take care,
PHKitkat
