Sounds to me like your smart little girl has found a new game: "If I scratch on these I can make him jump up and chase me. What fun!!"

I know, it's not amusing if it's your stuff...

Have you tried booby trapping them--with double sided sticky tape or something like that?

Carol, Emily, & Eddie

>>Liat and I are at war. Despite all my best efforts, she insists on scratching on LP record covers. I have tried so many different ways to stop this that I've lost count. The most annoying thing is she only does it when I am home. She has three other scratching devices and uses them willingly. I know the final option is move the records, but there is nowhere else to put them. Any and all suggestions welcome.

>>Despite this, she is still my furbaby and gets all the love she can handle.
