Carol: I can imagine that you are appalled about the fleas.

I'm wondering, do you live in a mild temperate climate? If you do, it is very likely that the fleas in your are do not "winter kill" and therefore, you must take extra precautions with your cats. I live in Central WA and we have winters cold and hard enough that fleas and other parasites die each winter. Over in the Seattle area, the temperatures are much more moderate and the fleas/parasites do not winter kill.

I'm sure you're doing everything correctly to get rid of those pesky little monsters!
