Welcome to the Tonk board!!

First of all, Maizy is beautiful.
That's beyond dispute.

Having said that, it's tough to tell from just this one picture, but she certainly could be a Tonk. She also could be a traditional, or what they call applehead, Siamese.

What she definitely is not is one of today's standard Siamese. They have been bred to be very angular.

Will be interested to hear what others on this board have to say, and if there's any way to tell for sure.

Carol, Emily, & Eddie

>>We adopted Maizy in July. The shelter told us she was Siamese.
>>
>>To me, she looks more like Tonkinese. She's very smart. Plays fetch, watches TV and is very playful. She has a dip in the middle of her nose, not sure if that is characteristic or not. Plus, she has the softest most silky fur I've ever felt.
>>
>>Sad start to her life. Someone turned the entire litter in to the shelter when the kittens were four weeks old. Two in the litter had died. She was fostered for a short time and then she came back to the shelter. She was three months old when we adopted her (along with an adorable tabby!).
>>
>>See her pic below. I think she resembles a Tonkinese but was wondering what the "Tonk people" might think!
