love using 2 letter words. master them and you almost never get stuck with tiles. my favorites...

xi,xu,qi (new one),hm,mm,oe,aa,ai,ag,ka, and jo.

really wanna screw with someone...use the word 'cwms' (it's pluralized). its a glacial cirque.

I hadn't played since I was a young teen until recently. I played with a couple out-of-town friends. I absolutely hated it. Scrabble has come a long way since I last played and the new enthusiasts play on a whole new field. Gone are the days that words had to be in a standard English Dictionary. They used words similar to what you used above that generally aren't found in a standard Dictionary, aren't used in writing and speaking that we see day-to-day, and are only found in a Scrabble Dictionary. How many times does one see or hear "oe, aa, ka, em, en, el, etc.," in "real life"? Who uses the word, "Xi" in any other application than Scrabble? What is, Xi? Apparently, it is also legal to spell out the letters of the alphabet. "M" is something like "em"... Do folks even know the meaning to the new gimmick words they memorize and use? But, don't get me wrong, I could see they love it and respect the new level Scrabble has been taken to, but gone are the days when you could just use words found in the regular dictionary... You now have to use words you have no idea what they mean and never use for any other application. They offered to send me lists of two and three letter gimmick words that are circulating around to memorize for the purpose of playing Scrabble, but I passed...
