I understand a bit. DH is also retired and giving up his part-time work as a tutor at a local college. I've already informed him that since I'm working my tail off that now he will be the house husband and oversee a lot of things. I can already hear it - I don't know how - . Sigh. Hopefully the help you got DH gave him some confidence to proceed. My DH is on anti-depressents which help somewhat, but it is surely hard.

I came home to "what's for supper" (he is a better cook than I am), and did EVERYTHING around the house. He wouldnt even get off the couch to eat at the table.
