10 years ago, I would have had a baby, today, no way. To many biological risks, in addition to other reason (41 this month).

Having run the gauntlet of tests before Punky's birth (I'm 40) I'm sure the bigger risk is of having an overindulged child as a 40 mother. At the zoo, the park, storytime at the library, there is invariably a hellion child causing problems for everyone while her middle aged mother watches, smiling.
I'd ask my friends to smack the crap out of me before I became that woman, but they're too busy - smiling, blissed out by their own creation(s) - who is running amuck, screaming, hitting the presenter and the other children.
