If I wear certain shades of beige, I look like a jar of peanut butter so none of the safari style for me. Everybody else gets to look crisp and outdoorsy. Other than that, I wear most everything but don't care for much blue and don't wear a whole lot of pastels anymore. Black, red, army green, sage, hot pink, jade, purple are all favorites.
And, redheads can wear more than they realize. It's usually a mindset formed in early years. I've seen redheads who were knockouts in pinks, yellows and reds. Try a little bit in a scarf or an accessory like a purse or bangle bracelet to get yourself used to the idea. Even slower, this winter, wear a pair of those bright socks around home.
That reminds me, my mother never liked herself in yellow (which makes no sense because it looks okay on her if it's bright.) She never bought me yellow things and I was a teen before I discovered I looked fine in it. Another case of early-years conditioning.
