When Big Scary Man was 16, he and a buddy swipped a bottle of Pinch Whiskey (scotch) someone had given his dad as a gift, guzzling it down with Dr. Pepper. BSM had never seen another bottle of Pinch since, and never told his dad he was sorry for stealing it.

BSM told me this story when we were first dating (claiming his father was more upset they mixed with sugary fizz then with the theft) while describing his dad to me. His dad had died 4 years before we met.

He was telling stories today and I suggested we break open one of my gifts to him early, and toast his father. I got him a bottle of Pinch. I think he was surprised I even remembered the story. (no, I didn't get Dr. Pepper to go with it this time)

....on the flip side, Auntie Vile has already vomited hatred this Christmas. Why did I forgo the garlic necklace and wooden stake?
