Those are very wise decisions and ways to shop. I never park by vans. That's what made this one wierd. Early afternoon, people around (but evidently only the one woman close enough to save her), lots of cars......not like a dark and lonely lot. They say it was probably a crime of opportunity. I don't carry a purse (to give less of a target) but I do tend to put my groceries in the trunk so now will be more aware when doing that. Maybe leave the cart between me and the open lot rather than being beside it. I don't know what all they got from the survelliance tape. Witness was able to give a description of guy and car but not sure about the tag. It's a matter of always being careful throughout life. Before cars locked automatically, I'd already gotten in the habit of locking mine. In college eons ago, stopped at a light and a guy who'd been walking tried to get in the passenger side. I didn't know him but was surely thankful that door was locked!
