Ah, that would have to be Deke the parrot. He was a full size amazon, about 14" from head to tail. Deke came into our home when I was in college, and promptly took over the house. He took great joy in backing two Burmese kittens into a corner and eating their food. The cats were still afraid of him, even though Suuri outwieghed him by 10 lbs. This bird was not caged, and really was good about pooping only at his house. Being free, he could try anything,loved scrambled eggs for breakfast. I used to get him drunk on Cherry Herring (a danish cherry liquor, can't stand it now). Had him for about 10 -15 years until he died from a strangluated hernia. He also took joy in dive bombing hubby when he was courting me!
