My jury duty is finished and I don't even feel rejected!!!! They called out twelve panels of possible jurors (some as large as 40 people) and evidently my name didn't come up in any of the computerized drawings. Hallelujah!!! My angel had a hand in that, I'm sure!! So, I'm good for two years. If I get another summons before then, I can call and get out of it.

Could not believe how many people were there. The room supposedly held 485 and it had to be at that. They had us scrunched together on pews and people were having to stand. Fortunately, I'd gotten down there way early and staked out a seat on the back row which had leg room and more air flow.

Anyway, I've (tried) to do my civic duty and am done!!! You'd have thought we'd won a lottery (guess we did) when they announced yesterday afternoon that the rest of us were dismissed completely. (Some people had been drawn and then not selected for a jury and sent back into the pool so they were free, too.)
