Hi There,

I have been seriously thinking of switching my cats to a homemade diet also. You never know exactly what you are getting in commercial foods, and they are so expensive, besides. I'd rather cook and know my babies are getting decent food.

A couple of years ago we had a special chat on feeding homemade diets to our pets. I will track down the transcript and try to post the link here. I am also squeamish about feeding raw, so that is out for my cats. The best way to feed homemade is to follow an actual recipe so it is sure to be balanced. I'll be sure to post anything I find here that will be helpful. Also, I believe that only raw bones are "safe" to feed pets, since cooked bones can splinter.

Take Care,

PHKitkat
