Just wanted to let you know Pookey does have a nasal growth/tumor. He had his second bloody nose last night (first one was a month ago). He was also squinting in one eye. Took him in and they confirmed it is most likely a growth/tumor -- gave me steroids and they made him better -- which also strongly points to a tumor. He also has a slight swelling around his nose, that only the vet detected (very slight). They are 99% certain. It is pretty common in older cats. The vet predicts he has 2-6 months of quality, normal life with the help of a daily steroid pill to reduce the swelling and slow the growth. Then I'll have to make a decision. I plan on not dwelling on it and will face it when the time comes. It helps to know what to expect, the vet laid it out well. He'll be 19 this year, so I knew his good health wouldn't last forever.

I'll let you know down the road when the time comes, otherwise, no news means he is doing well. This will be very, very difficult when the time comes.
