"The record winter snowfall in Des Moines is 72 inches in 1911-12. Des Moines apparently has topped 50 inches for the season, leaving it some 22 inches shy of the record."
That's a lot of snow. That is one record not worth beating.
(I think I mentioned that my uncle lives in Des Moines.)
I am lucky to live a 1/2 mile from a grocery stores. Can't walk because it is a cross a main highway, but a short drive if the roads aren't too clear.
I get groceries once a week, so I am set until Saturday when all should be clear.
My teacher friends are groaning about having to make up the snow days over Summer, as well...
Stay warm! ----- Tammy and Pookey (Stanley 8/91 - 8/07)
