We have a rather small feral colony here (usually due to the fact they eventually become insiders), of only 5 or 6. We due keep food out for them 24/7 in an area safe from preditors. However they are not always safe from one another. This young lady got into a pretty nasty fight one night. The next morning when everyone came out to get their daily treats she showed up pretty lame. Surprisingly she allowed me to walk right up and catch her. Both left feet were pretty badly chewed up so we started cleaning them up. I can't believe how good she was about everything. No biting, clawing ar even hissing. Our vet was swamped that day so I told him what we were doing and he told us we did basically what he would have done, to keep an eye on her and if necessary to bring her in the next day. The one thing I was really worried about was that she was walking on the top of her left front foot and I was afraid of nerve damage. The next day however she was doing so much better. called the vet to give an update and he said we were doing great with her.

She is now doing just wonderful, she loves her cat carrier bedroom and gets brought out of the bathroom during the day where everyone can get aquainted but still be supervised. Of course she is PG and we will just take it one day at a time.

Here is Princess lounging on the couch before the bandages came off.
