Well, one of my feral boys is back!!! I looked out the door today at the lack of snow (its melting!!), and thought I saw a feather stuck in the sidewalk, right outside the door. I thought....a feather???? So I got closer to the door, and reallized that the feather, had a body attached to it, and rather than being a feather, it was a cat tail, swishing while one of the feral boys groomed himself in the warm sun. I am sooo happy, my ferals are returning (well, at least one!) He was laying there like he belonged here, as if he owned the house. I am sure he heard me moving around inside, but never even flinched. I rushed in, and opened a can of food for him, figuring it would be a great "Welcome Home" gift. Then I quietly opened the door, and *POOF* off he went across the yard to hide. I set the plate out near where he was sunning himself, and will check on it to see if he comes back. I just hope one of the neighbors dogs doesn't eat it, there are a few that roam about our country roads...all are owned, but all roam (except mine, I am too "city minded" to trust my dog running about in strange places unsupervised). Just wanted to let everyone know :D
