I have been feeding a mommy cat and her 4 kittens for a while. The kittens are 4 months old. One of the kittens, a gray and white female, is very friendly and docile. I can pet her, hold her, pick her up, kiss her, you get the picture. She totally blew my theory of a feral kitten! My thoughts are that she would be a great pet once socialized properly (bring her into a room in the house, let her adjust, introduce her to other members of the family, etc., etc., then have her spayed and adopted). I cannot keep her, I have 3 indoors already, but my husband agreed that I could foster her. I have done this before, with serious interviews before the adoption took place. I would like to know if others have had a similar situation, and what the outcome was. She is so sweet, that I fear now that if she comes this close to me, she might get in the wrong hands somewhere along the line. By the way, they are all scheduled to be TNR'd in December. The other kittens are very standoffish, and although they come around when I call, I cannot get close enough to make friends. What do you think?
thanks,
pati
