My 6 year old FIV male cat just had his left front leg amputated to keep a fibrosarcoma tumor from spreading. I'm worried that the cancer may return in a different location. I read some books and decided to try giving him some herbal remedies.

I bought some shark cartilage in capsule form 750 mg per capsule. What do you think the dosage would be for my 15 pound cat? Would 1/4 capsule be right?

Also bought some Pau D'Arco in liquid form 2000 mg per 2 ml. Could you tell me the dosage for this?

My vet just said that he thought 1/4 of the human dosage should be right. Do you agree?

He also said I should look into buying some Essiac. I spent the whole day on the internet trying to find the right one to buy. There are many websites that all claim to have the original formula and to beware of imitations. Which one is the best and what is the dosage for a cat?

Do you think any or all of these things will help keep the cancer from returning in my cat?

Thank you,

Nancy
