Hi,

You should NEVER try to pull anything out of a cat, from either end. The pulling can do more damage than the string has already done. Your cat is crying for a reason, she is hurting.

I very highly recommend not waiting, and taking your cat in to the vet immediately. She may have more string in her digestive tract that you are unaware of and may become obstructed. If this happens, she will need emergency surgery.
