These foods sound fine. Ash is what is left after the food is burnt. It is essentially the minerals that remain, so the food should have some ash, but a very high ash content means that the food contains a lot of bone. For instance, if the food is made from fish remains after the filets are removed, leaving a lot of bone, the ash would be high.
