My 11 year old cat was bitten by my other cat. I did not see this happen. It started as a red path about thumb size. My vet treated it as a food allergy even though I mentioned the possibility of a bite.

So for month it was treated by steroids.

Then he did a bioposy and found it to be a bacerial infection...which confirmed my idea about the bite.

These are indoor cats and there are no fleas or bugs. Very clean. Only eat "the very best" wet food.

So now we are treating it with Clavamox (antibiotic) and animax cream.

The skin has thickened in the two places where he did the biopsy...very crusty.

We have been treating it now for about two weeks with some improvement as the redness has gone. Now the lessions are just grey raised skin.

Any alternative treatments that may work better. And any idea how long this will take to clear up.

Otherwise this is a very healthy cat.

I am supplementing and giving immune boosters plus EPA.

Thank you,
Richard
