Hi, I have a cat who is currently on Hills Prescription K/D canned. Three tablespoons at each meal. However, after eating he has indigestion -type symptoms, hunched position, hanging head down, etc, for about an hour or two afterward. No water drinking though. I don't think I'm feeding him(assist feeding) him that much. I've tried adding a little slippery elm and it seems to help but I read that slippery elm can eventually coat the intestines and hinder assimilation of nutrients so I'm trying to find something else. Also, there's a problem with constipation with this diet. I've tried adding digestive enzymes but that doesn't help. Would you know of something that would help with the digestion of food or know what is causing this? Thank you for any info.
