Travelling with my Dumeril's Boa. Had to take her across state lines--into Florida, of course, where they are having issues with anacondas and pythons and some really irresponsible people. My thought was that as long as I keep her in her cage, things should be just fine.

Well, as bad luck would have it, someone nasty has discovered I have "a snake" (never mind that it's been safely contained for 6 years). Now I'm at a point where I need to know what the law is in Florida pertaining to traveling with your pet snake.

I read up on the matter, and it would appear that Dumeril's are singled out as EXCLUDED from the problem down here, but I'm hoping that someone knows what I'm up against so that I don't lose my snake. It's Sunday, naturally, so I need to know the answer (or at least some direction as to who to go see Monday morning). I'm only here in Florida for another week, and would hate to see my vacation cut short with me in jail or some such...

Help!
