PV rattlesnake

Finally! I had been searching this spot for over 2 years. There are some features in this little area that my gut told me rattlers would be here. At last I was there at the right time. I got really close to this sub-adult to take a pic w/o disturbing him.

The specimens in PV can be really purple when not fully grown, but I did see an adult years ago that was still very purple. Unfortunately, that snake probably died when Trump built his golf course.
