I just bought a new Alterna, Blairi phase. He arrived yesterday from Reptile Raptures, I do feel like I over paid for him at $405 shipped, but he is currently the only one online that I liked. So far the little guy is very energetic and seems to be loving the custom enclosure that I have built. I am however a little worried his size and weight is a little low at 13 grams, I was told he was hatched late fall so I'm thinking he's just a month old or less. It was also stated that he was feeding on live pinkie mice and I do know that GBK snakes can be difficult training to eat frozen mice. The first night he rejected my offer of a warmed frozen, tonight I just tired scenting a new pinkie with my bearded dragon and he refused, so now I have him in a small container tub with a brained mouse and will leave it overnight. I really hope he starts eating soon. I'm probably hover parenting over this little guy and just need to give him more time to settle in, what are your guys thoughts on this? I'll get some pictures up soon.
