Anyway, if u'r still out n about ... the stripers are best fd. in spring, deserts in april, may on the coastal side & mojave. In az the sonoran stripers also have a period of activity w/ the summer rains.
The stripers invariably are in rocky sites, the coachwhips own the less rocky, even sandy terrain. All "whipsnakes" seem to need brushy areas.
Theres a subforum here on ks that is worth a view.
