I have an adult female box turtle with whitish solid eye gunk. Have had her for 10yr. She spends summers outside and winters hibernating indoors in dirt in a 50 degree room. No problems until this year. She is eating very little and typically has her eyes closed because of the gunk that is accumulating in them. I soak her in warm water to loosen the gunk and then roll over her eyelids with a Q-tip to get the gunk out, but it keeps accumulating. I have taken her to the vet multiple times, but we can't seem to get to the bottom of it. She is in a sterile environment with no substrate except a towel (I removed the substrate thinking she might have an allergy). 2 heat lamps. UV light. Normal diet: worms, berries, tomatoes

At this point, I am having to force feed her ground insectivore to keep her alive, as she is losing weight and her activity has decreased over the last few months due to not eating on her own very much.

Need recommendations! Have had this girl for a long time!
