I'm in North Carolina and we had several skinks find their way inside the house over the summer but we were able to relocate them. Then in early November I found this little guy, who we think is an anole? By then it seemed too late to put him out since the nights were getting cold.

He hangs out in our sun room in the windows on sunny days. Other than that, I don't see him. I put out water for him and some dried pellets but from what I've read they like live food, things like mealworms and crickets.

My hope to keep him alive till spring and then encourage him to go outside. I'm not interested making a pet of him and don't even know how I'd catch him.

My problem: If I were to buy him something live to eat, how would I contain it, i.e. mealworms, without containing the lizard? is there anything escape-proof that I can put mealworms in that the lizard would be able to access and then escape from?

Thanks for any suggestions you can send my way!
