OK, It has been a while since I was actively breeding herps and I have not ever bred rosies. I also find that some of my knowledge is outdated (like when did corns stop being Elephae and start being Pantherophis?) So I need someone with more specific knowledge. I was in my local pet store getting rats for my Juvie carpet python's when my wife called me over to see 2 Rosy boas actively mating. I bought the pair and they kept on mating after I got them home, really just separated for the first time today. Anyway, to the point. The store was selling them as "harlequin albino rosy boas". I had not heard of this morph and suspected that it was a mispronunciation of "harquhala" which is a locality I have heard of and I have seen albinos from there that look very much like what I bought. I did a search and do not see a harlequin morph of Rosy boas, but just because I have not heard of them, can't find them, and have little faith in the local pet store's knowledge, does not mean that they are not right and I am not wrong. Anyone out there with more knowledge or expertise than me want to chime in please? Not sure how to post an image but when I figure it out I will as I know how hard it can be to id a morph without one. In the mean time is there even such a thing as a "Harlequin rosy boa" Thanks in advance.
