RE: Completely Illustrated Atlas of Reptiles and Amphibians for the Terrarium. This large book is good for basic information & has some not-so-commonly kept species of reptiles & amphibians included. Some of the information is out-dated & incorrect, but for the most part it should be considered as just a general reference (with dated material).

There are many other recent books on the general care of amphibians & reptiles, but depending on what your interests are, it is more wise to purchase either AVS/Barron's type books or do cross-referencing of caresheets (as some information on the internet is not valid). Cross-referencing of recently gathered data is one of the best techniques to obtain valid information.
