They belong to the family of plated lizards and as you know, they are from madagaskar. There they live a life very similar to a sandfishs (Scincus scincus) life in Egypt. They need a high sand layer, very hot basking areas with high light intensities (metal halides) and a slightly moist corner for sleeping. They spend a lot of their time buried, but come out more often than the true sandfish. Breeding is not easy, but keeping is not rocket science.
