but it sure is awkward looking at it sideways. For some reason I pictured you to be older... who knows maybe you are and you just look young, LOL. It's nice to put a face to people, everyone looks so different than the images I had in my head.

tokay_dude1 Apr 15, 2004 01:22 AM

lol, yeah most of the people i talk to online dont belive me when i say im 17, dont know why...>.>

i fooled around with that pic for about a half hour and it kept comin up as an error so i just gave up, lol

lizzylizard Apr 15, 2004 01:41 AM

No it's a good thing. I think it is because you are very well spoken for being 17.

tokay_dude1 Apr 15, 2004 01:47 AM

Thank you, usually people give me the "omg you liar you are definatly NOT 17!"..and i sit there and laugh...and ask how old thet thought i was and its usually "i thought you were somewhere in your 20's" and i give them the "0_0" LOL
~shrug~

lizzylizard Apr 15, 2004 02:01 AM

I thought early 30's, LOL.

Snarks Apr 15, 2004 02:05 AM

17???!
good god, I feel old!

tokay_dude1 Apr 15, 2004 02:07 AM

HAHAHAAA!!! EARLY 30s...my god if only...right now i just cant wait till im 18 so i can move out, lol

lizzylizard Apr 15, 2004 02:12 AM

Really I wish I haddn't moved out. I had it soooo good at home, untill my girlfriend pretty much forced me to move out with her. She was the worst roomate EVER, my life was a nightmare for the six months I lived with her.

tokay_dude1 Apr 15, 2004 02:15 AM

lol sorry to hear that, i just want to be away from my family for a while...nlol not that its bad or anything...i just seriously need a break...lol i plan on living alone unless i marry my gf someday...>.>
LOL

lizzylizard Apr 15, 2004 02:22 AM

I was really worried about moving in with my boyfriend, but he is pretty easy to live with. He's moving back home next month and I am staying for one more year to finish school. I'm actually really looking forwad to living by myself, besides the fact that it's going to cost me an arm and a leg. How long have you been with your girlfriend. It's been over four years for me and my boyfriend. Not to sure about marriage though, he wants kids, I don't, it's pretty big issue. Well now that I've complete rambled on about my life, LOL.

tokay_dude1 Apr 15, 2004 02:33 AM

LOL,i've been with her since december so that'd make it about 5 months, i dont plan on marriage anytime soon...lol
good luck with your boyfriend, lol

tokay_dude1 Apr 15, 2004 02:13 AM

Heh, when i get my own place, setup my living room and basement with leo racks,ig cages, tokay tanks...everything...LOL only then will i consider myself to have a "best day of my life" lol

oh by the way..i just looked at your pic, your very pretty

lizzylizard Apr 15, 2004 02:29 AM

Thank you, in that pic I was acctually 17 OMG, that was 5 years ago. I don't think I have changed to much though, allthough others may say different. I think when my boyfiend moves out I his office will most likely turn into the animal room, I want to set up more cages, tanks... as well. I really want to do a vivarium, with a waterfall, live plants...

RedQuake Apr 15, 2004 02:08 AM

Its about time......i've wanted to see what you looked like for a while now. To shy to ask though LOL....nice pic. even though its sideways LOL.

SORRY!

RedQuake Apr 15, 2004 02:28 AM

Ok so i don't really act like a girl and the name i use.......well its not gender specific so i can see your confusion. I take NO offence at all......please don't be sorry.

After being raised the way i have been i'm pretty much a rough and tumble kind of person anyways. Yes i clean up well and high heels do bring me up to a normal height LMAO (kill the feet though) but jeans and a t-shirt with running shoes is the way i like it. I'm also a bit of a grease monkey....then again i think its just my love of getting dirty LOL Of course this morning after my mother left the lights on in my car ( = dead battery), i nearly electricuted myself trying to charge it.....LOL

Not many woman out there will join their father in a fishing tournament or play with mealworms when bored LOL.....i'm so not a normal person HAHAHA

Oh my its almost 3:30am, i've been on here an hour....i couldn't sleep....troubled by some work issues so i sent a *venting* email to a friend. Think i might be able to sleep...hopefully. i've got to be up in 3 hours LOL.

And i think i should let the geckos get back to whatever they were doing before i turned on the lights....my crested pair is still out but i'm getting dirty looks from Zeus.....lol. he's got his head pokingout from behind the water bottle with alook that says......Ok time for bed young lady LOL....wish my camera was better, his expression is priceless.

LOL, same here I don't think I've worn a skirt since 2000. I don't know what I'd do without my sweatpants and sweatshirts.

I do have to say Red I love your hair. The classic "I have straight flat hair so I want curly hair" syndrome.

Not a big fan of playing with mealworms though. I used to not mind insects, but since I have had to keep them in my home and acctually see all the discusting things they do, I have developed a strong dislike for them.

I am glad that I am not the only nighthawk around. I think thats part of the reason I like leo's so much, we are both nocturnal. It is only 1:40am here, still early for me, LOL.

RedQuake Apr 15, 2004 07:33 AM

Thankyou about my hair. I got it layered a bit in hopes it would curl up nicer but now its kinda all over the place LOL Going to grow it out, hopefully past my butt LOL

As for bugs, as i've gotten older i've become more and more skiddish of them. Only thing i can really deal with are mealworms. The beetles i'm not very fond of

I've always been a night hawk thats why i enjoy doing night shifts but going from nites to days and back to nights....or doing 17 hour shifts has just reaked havic on my body. I dont' think my body knows when its actually time to sleep. I was up until 4am, slept and awake again at 7. Since this is the norm for me right now i should set up my red lights so i'm disturbing my geckos so much while i'm on the computer hehehe

I had my hair about 5 inches from my butt, I don't think it will ever be that long again.

I enjoy night shifts too, last night I was up till 4 and awake again at 8 for school. Schools is doing a number on me as well, I'm not used to being up untill around noon. 17 hour shifts would kill me, where do you work?

Lisa

RedQuake Apr 15, 2004 05:43 PM

I can't wait for my hair to get down to my butt, its going to take a long time but it'll be worth it. I like the long hair look on me and with the waviness it should look cool. Besides i can put all my hair over my face and call myself cousin It. I did a pic like that once when i had long hair but i lost it when my computer crashed. It was a shame too cause i think it was the best pic of me yet HAHAHA.

Currently i'm a personal support worker employeed supporting developmentally and physically challenged adults in a group home. The physical aspect only became a problem after i wrecked my shoulder in a car accident....the mental part is whats draining. New rules have been instituted regarding their rights which i'm completely for UNLESS it becomes a health and safetly issue. Recent events have caused me to rethink my life path, career, home etc. At 27 i already feel so burnt out that i no longer wish to get out of bed. If it wasn't for the animals i care for here at home i'm sure i'd remain in bed all day until it was time for work.

This job is a hard one, for me anyways. Then again i love the night shifts. Usually everyone is in bed and between rounds and housework i can read, draw etc. I was offered this weeks worth of overnights but i have yet to recover from the last bunch so i declined. Could have used the cash but right now its me i am starting to think about. Today i went shopping and bought stuff for not only the geckos, but also for ME. Makeup hehehe so i can make myself all gorgous and a magazine with pics of some of my favourite actors.

I'm jealous that your so close to the mountains....i used to camp alot. I've been seriously thinking about what it is i want to do with the rest of my life.....moving comes to mind. Not sure if i want to go East or West yet.....and i have NO idea how i'd get all of my geckos out to either coast, but its time for a change. I wish i had the money so i could pick a direction and just go lol. Maybe one day.

Well i've got to clean things up. A friend is coming over tomorrow to see my geckos and currently the room looks like a war zone LOL

Cousin It, LOL, best picture, yah right you’re gorgeous.

I can see how your job could be extremely draining, I could also see how it could be very rewarding though. Kudos to you, I don’t think I could do something like that full time.

I have no idea what I want to do with my life as well. Right now I am in a Criminal Justice program, even though I decided two months ago that I definitely don’t want to be a cop. I have one year left to finish this program so at least then I can put it on my resume.

I am considering nursing right now. I honestly don’t want to be a nurse, in fact I’m one of those people who can’t stand the sight of blood, or any other yucky things (who says yucky? what am I, 5 years old?). The reason I’m considering it is because I really want to do aid or volunteer work in Africa or another third would country in need. I think any sort of medical background would be the most beneficial. However, I don’t know if I could do that for more than a couple of years (especially leaving all my animals), so after that I have no idea. I do know that I really want to help animals. My dream would be to run an animal rescue center, whether it be here or somewhere like the Amazon, it doesn’t matter. What I need is my boyfriend to become rich so I can do all of this, because none of it pays well, if it pays at all, LOL. There are so many things I want to do, so little time… so little money. Right now I have just been waitressing for the last few years, I absolutely HATE it.

I know what you mean about not wanting to get out of bed. My mutts changed that for me, they are my babies. After adopting them from the pound last summer my life has become so much happier.

Honestly, I could be wrong, but you sound like someone who would be happy working with animals, vet maybe. Listen to me, predicting what you should do in life, sorry I’m terrible.

If I had my pick, and money I would most likely move to Victoria. It is so beautiful, and it doesn’t snow (very often anyways). However it is very expensive to live out there. The Okanogan would be nice as well but I think it would be pretty boring in the winter. In any case I wouldn’t worry too much about moving your geckos. Mine are coming on the plane next Friday (I’m so excited). I don’t think the flight from either end of Canada would be any longer than 4 hours. Driving might be a little bit more difficult.

My house looks like a war zone as well. My boyfriend and I are both studying for finals, working, and looking after the pets, with all that right now there is no time to clean.

I think I covered everything, and then some

Lisa

RedQuake Apr 15, 2004 09:47 PM

Thankyou, your words are very kind I would have loved to be a police officer but with my size no one is going to take a 4 ft officer seriously LOL. not that i can't take anyone down, my brothers try to wrestle me and usually fail LOL.

I was told back in school that i would hold many jobs and get into many careers, oh how that is so true.
I would love to work with animals, ijust don't think i'm up to that much schooling hehehe. I've actually done a great job at cleaning the place up. My geckos were rather curious to see what i was up to...first cleaning the room, then their tanks. You'd think they would be used to that by now having me do it every other day (more so in the 40 gal with the 5 girls).

I take no offence to your suggestions....dont worry I'm always up for some good advice.

I like the action. We're usually first in unit on fires also so we get to fight fires and all the insanity that goes on in our zone(South Beach). Was an accountant for 14 years and that bit. No better career in my mind.
