i need some info on herpetology for my essay

hey guys, i have to do an essay on a career in herpetology and computer programming, i need an interview for the herpetology career. so if any of you know your herps well or are an actual herpetologist then please answer these questions.
1.why and how did you get involved in herpetology?
2.Is herpetology for everyone?
3.name some of the academic courses needed to be a herpetologist
4.what is the average income you make in a year?
