Hmm, ive seen a few light color skined ones but none with spots like that, it may be a bacterial infection from poor treatment. Was the water dirty at all from the people you got it from and how often did they change the water? Keep it in a clean tank and if it is a bacterial infection it should clear up. If they remain or spread a few antibiotics to try are nitrofuranace or erythromycin, BUT PLEASE contact a vet before you try them.
