Fish are the best things for these guys. That's what they eat in the wild. We (my boyfriend and I) have a trio and they all eat large comets. Depending on the size go for rosy reds or appropriately sized comets. They will eat other things but ours have a staple diet of fish. I believe they will eat things like earthworms but I have never tried this and wouldn't try it in a home aquarium.
