I built the stand out of 30 Cinder Blocks and 4 eight foot long 2x4 boards. Total cost of the project was only $36. Holds 4 forty breeder tanks. The stands they sell at my local store hold only 2 tanks and are $150 each, so it would be $300 to do the two stands.

The tanks themselves run about $150 each once I get them fully setup with UTH, heat lamp, aspen, water bowl, hide, driftwood, and vines for the snakes. Or sand, caves, water bowl, calcium bowl, food dish, UTH, and heat lamp for the geckos.

The top two tanks are set up for snakes, the bottom two for Leopard Geckos.

I have about 50 pets so racks would be the easier way to go, but I prefer large decorated tanks because I think the animals get more stimulation and I enjoy looking at them. My entire basement is one big animal room. I can't say just Herp room since I also have the ferrets and rats down there...
