As much as everyone seems to hat aquariums, this is a big aquarium. 125 gallons, approx 6' long x 1.5" deep and only $35 (it has a broken bottom, no good for fish, great for herps). I really feel that the only drawbacks to aquariums is size constraints (obviously this wont be nearly big enough for these guys as they grow larger), weight and cost. There is nothing inherently wrong with aquariums, in fact they really help keep the humidity up when needed...

The water bowl is a ferret litter box cut down so the small torts can get in and out of it. The light /ceramic heat emitter setup are movable and have screen under them to prevent anything from contacting the bulbs (except the UV bulb which has nothing but a wire cage to protect it). The substrate is cypress/top soil mix, which I have had great luck with. The hides are made from old clay water pipes cut down the center with a wetsaw and the thermometers are $3 taylor units (which work really great!)...

What do you all think? Oh yeah it's for my 2 one year old redfoots....
