Have you ever tried trapping fence lizards? I have caught blue tail skinks and broad head skinks useing cricket bait containers with the wire sides and the open top. Simply place ten or so crickets in the container and place it in the lizards suspected habitat. The lizard climbs the wire side leaps over into the bait bucket expecting an easy meal and is unable to escape.
