My male giant day gecko has been eating his own tail, it started with a small injury (I believe from some unsecured bamboo) At first his tail was kind of mashed at the end and he ate that off. After he bit it off the wound appeared just like a normal tail break off and the tail began to regenerate. Then he bit off the part of the tail that had begun to regenerate, now he is chewing farther up his tail. Any suggestions?
