What a booming good picture! It captures the mysteriousness of Typhlonectes gills so well. The way they seem to hang off like a useless piece of shed skin is so misleading, with their transluscent cast and white colour, yet in reality, the small, white flake of meat is a useful organ asiting the elusive animal in respiration.
