This forum has been the best source of information I've found, though it can be rather slow at times. Plated lizards are somewhat rare in the United States, and they are not well-documented.

I've had Clyde, a G. validus, since late last year. He eats mostly insects, though we supplement his diet with some fruit (papaya being his favorite) and leaves (he easts the mix we give our iguanas and uros). Clyde also likes to have fresh drinking water.
