well,it doesn't sound like he can swim properly,orajel on the tummy is the most humane way to euthanize(seperate from the buddy of course,after this,it may still be a good idea to keep a pair,thier social)not to mention,floating at the top in pain trying to keep balanced so it won't drown doesn't sound like a nice way to be

sometimes people get harsh reminders,even me,pet stores can not always be trusted,even top places like petsmart I'm sorry about your loss,but it's best to let it go,don't just flush either,but be humane
