I have never worked with a cansoia species yet. I have scented prey for various snakes though. One good methos is to take an appropriately sized f/t rodent and put a piece of it's preferred prey in it's mout. When you wiggle it in front of the boa, it will hopefully smell the prey and strike, grabbing the rodent along with it.
