I posted this in the turtle health and diet forum.

something mysterious is killing off my muds. I thought they were hardy. I have two cages, one for males nad one for females, each complete with a filter and underwater heater set at 75 degrees or so. I feed them all al balanced diet. then after a while i noticed, once i got the filters, a turtle would start acting wierd. it would float at the top, and would eventually stop eating. there was what looked like skin sloughing off the forelembs and neck. fungus? i have no idea.
teh water is clean and warm. i already lost a few. it's pissing me off.

I had a red which was superhardy. he was in his own cage all summer outside and was fine. i brought him in, had him in an unfiltered cage with a mud and he was fine. then i moved them to another cage with a filter and 10 days later the red ear was dead. had no extgernal signs of illness. looked totally fine...

wht the hell is this? it's frustrating and pissing me off..

I need help ASAP
