Recently a book appeared from the same author (M. Kroniger) about H. laevis. The problem is it's only available in german.

Altough your cage is a bit on the small side i think it's possible. I am keeping Holaspis for several years now (my oldest animal is an
9 year old male!, and still going strong). They breed easily, sometimes up to 6-7 clutches per year. The eggs are easy to incubate. I keep them in a fairly simple vivarium like setup, with a bit of a cooling down period in the winter over here (the Netherlands) to temper their productivity a bit (and give the female some rest). This works very well. They are active all day and become tame quite fast, when they are hungry i have to be real careful when i open the cage.
