My female waigeo island tree boa is gone. I got 2.1 new waigeos over a month ago and had started keeping them with my larger female to form a 2.2 group. I know all were present and accounted for last weekend when I tried feeding them, but today the newer female was gone. I'm confident she didn't escape the enclosure-it's been her home for a few weeks and the smaller males are both still there. I took everything out and even dug in the bark to see if she was hiding. The only thing I can think of is the larger female must have eaten her. Has anyone experienced Candoia cannibalism? This bigger female used to be a really enthusiastic feeder on f/t mice but stopped eating a few weeks ago. The new female ate a pinky but also stopped eating around the same time. My window blinds are usually open, so I figured they saw how short the days were and had slowed down for winter. In any case, none of them have eaten for a while and the remaining 3 still aren't showing much interest in food. I'm pretty bummed about losing a rodent-eating female, I just wish I knew for sure what happened.
