Haven't been around lately. I never saw this happen with mine while she was sleeping but I have noticed the same eye thing once in a while during the day. Really scared me too. I just can't remember if it was just before a shed or not.

Mine never had trouble shedding but this last time, there was a piece on her head that wouldn't come off. Never happened before. I increased the misting a little one morning and it was gone the very same day, so dryness might have been the deal for you too.

Glad things are better.
