You can't go wrong with 100% humidity and a dry substrate.
You're going to have to ultimately decide but talk to as many breeders as you can to form a concensus. You will see a pattern among successful breeders.
>>Hi everybody,I really would like to know the best humidity% for greaca greaca eggs,I keep on getting different kind of info like: dry vermiculite and 100% humidity, moist vermiculite and no more than 70% humidity...A book on mediteranean tortoises even say that more than 94% humidity kills the embryo!!! so now I really don't know anymore.(I really don't want to kill them) >>My female laid,4 times now,the first time was the 10 of december and the last, today 6 eggs again for a total of 18!!!When I candeled,I only see one egg of the first batch with something inside...I really would like to have babies,I bred snakes before but it would be my first time with tortoise because they are very hard to find in canada(all kinds) especialy a mating pair!!! >>Thank you all so much!!! >>Yannick ----- Ed @ Tortoise Keepers Trying to keep the fun in Chelonian care
